Coupling
Drawbeam system
VBG’s Cross Member System (CMS) drawbeam system comprises a wide range of standardised components that can be combined to provide a perfect fit. The system reduces the need for modifications when installing the coupling equipment.
Underrun protection
In the event of a rear-end collision, the underrun protection system prevents smaller vehicles from becoming lodged underneath the truck or trailer. For the purpose of increased safety, it is an important and integrated part of VBG’s coupling solutions.
Drawbar
VBG’s drawbars are modular and only have a few components, and are mounted with bolt joints. They can therefore be customised in all possible lengths and widths. A wide range of trailer attachments means you can get precisely the drawbar you need.
VBG MechMatic
VBG MechMatic keeps the coupling mechanism clean with regular air shocks and an injection of thin oil mist. This reduces servicing needs and consumption of lubricant, while also prolonging the service life of the coupling.
Electrical connector
VBG electrical connectors are designed from the outset to cope with extreme and tough environments with moisture, snow, salt, and winter temperatures. Connectors are available with 14, 17 or 22 pins. The large flat pins in brass provide ample contact surface and good resistance to oxidation. Coupling and decoupling are performed with one hand and the pins are cleaned automatically.
VBG Driver Assist
VBG Driver Assist is an VBG innovative system that both warns the driver of jackknifing and guides coupling. The system increases levels of safety for drivers and other motorists, while minimising the risk of costly damage to the vehicle rig.
