Unique design with fixed coupling mouth for full angular displacement

VBG 575V-3 - Trailer coupling

VBG 575V-3 Trailer coupling Guiding funnel Short/Short
Part No. 09-316500

This coupling is for centre-axle trailers, dollies and trailers with an ISO Ø 50 mm drawbar eye. A totally unique design using spring compression elements where the material is so rigid that the drawbar eye is guided in during coupling, while also being sufficiently elastic to allow angular displacement of 90 degrees with a fixed coupling mouth. The well-proven attachment package, with its large bearing surfaces, has been adapted for large vertical forces.

Different operation

Power actuator – for maximum safety and comfort

A coupling with the VBG Power Actuator (PA) is opened and closed by means of a double-acting, pneumatically-controlled torsion device operated by a manual valve, with no need to reach underneath vehicle to access the coupling. This ergonomic solution is the most comfortable, and significantly simplifies coupling and decoupling. It saves you time and reduces the risk of injury.

575V-3 AM

Air-assisted opening makes things a bit easier

With the Air Mechanism (AM), you get a convenient, space-saving all-in-one solution. The mechanism has a single-acting diaphragm cylinder with a function for opening. A powerful spring is used for closing.

The coupling is opened by hand and closes by spring force. This version does not require any additional components.

You can always supplement manual coupling with a power actuator (PA unit).

Two versions of the coupling mouth are available, which means the coupling can be modified to meet your needs to an even greater extent.

Short lips make coupling in tight spaces easier.

An extended upper lip facilitates connection and provides extra protection for your power actuator.

Why should I choose this?

Fleet manager

The VBG 575V-3 enhances the driver’s manoeuvrability and makes connection easier. The coupling can be opened and closed irrespective of the drawbar angle. The flexible compression elements provide a sturdy design as you avoid having a moving coupling mouth. With many connections and disconnections performed each day, this provides greater comfort, major time savings and safer shunting.

The superior VBG quality extends the long service life and offers more carefree ownership. The reliable design minimises unexpected downtime and costly delays. The modular design, with interchangeable mechanisms, allows any repairs to be performed swiftly with few installation steps, which saves workshop time and ensures safety.

Tip: If you supplement with VBG MechMatic, lubrication and cleaning are performed completely automatically. This saves time and trouble for the driver and reduces service and maintenance costs.
